जय जगरन्नाथ 

भगवान श्री  जगन्नाथ  जो सम्पूर्ण जग के नाथ है उनकी पूजा और उपासना करने से  

 जगरन्नाथ स्तोत्रम 

कदाचि त्कालिन्दी तटविपिनसङ्गीतकपरो 

मुदा गोपीनारी वदनकमलास्वादमधुपः 

रमशम्भुब्रह्मा मरपतिगणेशार्चितपदो 

जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 1 || 

  

भुजे सव्ये वेणुं शिरसि शिखिपिंछं कटितटे 

दुकूलं नेत्रान्ते सहचर कटाक्षं विदधते 

सदा श्रीम श्रीमद्बृन्दा वनवसतिलीलापरिचयो 

जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 2  ||

महाम्भोधस्तीरे कनकरुचिरे नीलशिखरे

वसंप्रासादान्त- स्सहजबलभद्रेण बलिना 

सुभद्रामध्यस्थ स्सकलसुरसेवावसरदो 

जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 3  ||

   

कथापारावारा स्सजलजलदश्रेणिरुचिरो 

रमवाणिसाैम स्सरदमपद्माेद्भवमुखैः 

सुरेंद्रै राराध्यः श्रुतिगणशिखागीतचरितो

जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 4 || 

रथारुढो गच्छ न्पथि मिलङतभूदेवपटलैः 

स्तुतिप्रादुर्भावं प्रतिपद मुपाकरण्ये सदयः 

दयासिन्धु र्भानु स्सकलजगता सिन्धुसुतया 

       जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 5 ||  

परब्रह्मापीडः कुवलयदलोत्फुल्लनयनो

निवासी नीलाद्रौ  निहितचरणो नन्तशिरसि 

रसानन्दो राधा सरसवपुरालिङ्गनसुखो 

जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 6  ||

न वै प्राथ्यें राज्यं न च कनकितां भोगविभवं 

न याचे याचे हं रम्यां निखिलजनकाम्यां वरवधूं 

सदा काले काले प्रमथपतिना चीतचरितो 

जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 7  ||

हर त्वं संसारं द्रुततर मसारं सुरपते 

हर त्वं पापानां वितति मपरां यादवपते 

अहो दीनानाथं निहित मचलं निश्चितपदं 

          जगन्नाथः स्वामी नयनपथगामी भवतु मे || 8 ||       

Jagarnnath Stotram Lyrics with meaning 

Kadacit kalindi tata vipina sangeetha taralo 

Mudaa-bhirii nari vadana kamalaaswada madhupaha 

Ramaa shambhu brahma-amarapati ganeshaarchita pado

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey || 1||

( I bow to the one who sometimes fills the forests present on the banks of river kalindi with his waves of music(from his flute). The one who enjoys the blossomed lotus like faces of the women( gopikas ) like that of a wandering bee. whose feet are worshipped by ramaa (goddess Lakshmi ), shambhu, brahma,amarpati( lord of devas- indra), and ganesha. May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

Bhujey savya vennum sirasi sikhi pincham kathithate

dukuulam netranthe sahachara kataksham vidadhatr

sada shrimad vrundavana vasati leela parichayo

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey || 2 ||

( The one who holds a flute in his left hand, wearing a peacock feather on his head and with a lustrous cloth around his waist.  who with his divine gestures of side glances can bestow his companions. who always resides in his great brundavana and reveals himself by his divine play or leelas . May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

Mahaambhodhes tire kanaka ruchire neela shikarey

vasan prasaadaanthaha sahaja valabhadrena balinaa

subhadra madhyasthah sakala surasevaavasara do

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey || 3 ||

( O the one who resides on the shore of the greate ocean(purushottama kshetra-puri ) of which the sands appear with golden radiance within a great palace present on the nilachala hill present on that palace, with his brother balabhadra, who is also known for his great valor and strength. along with sister subhadra in the middke, the one who gives the suras an opportunity to serve him. May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

Krupaa paraavarah sajala jalada shreni ruchiro 

ramaa vani ramah spuradamala pankeruha mukhaha 

surendrair-raaradyah shruthi gaana shikhaa geetha charitho

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey || 4 ||

( O the lord, whose compassion is lie an ocean and who is with looks like that of dark clouds filled with water. who is a delight to ramaa( goddess lakshmi) and vani( goddess saraswati), whose face is spotless like a blossomed lotus. The one worshipped by the surendra( head of the devas ), whose greatness is sung by the holy scriptures like shruthi's and by great geethas. May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

Radha rudho gacchan pathi militha bhudeva patalauh

stuti pradhur bhavam prati pada mupaakarnya sadayaha

daya sindhur bhandhuh sakala jagataam sindhu suthaya

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey || 5 || 

( Riding on a chariot along the streets( indicating chariot festival) and seeing groups of brahmins at every place. singing the prayers( stuti's), listening to each of those words by his ears and the one whose heart lies with his devotees. O the ocean of mercy, the friend to all the worlds, who is looking like the son of the ocean( with his merry appearance on the shore of the ocean). May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

parambrahma peedah kuvalaya dalotpulla nayano

nivaasi neeladrau nihitha charano anantha sirasi

rasaanandi radha sarasa vapuraalingana sukho

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey || 6 ||

( who is with a condensed supreme form, whose eyes look like the petals of the blossomed lotus. the one who recites on neeladri( neelachala hill) having his feet on the head of anantha(shesha). o the one enjoys the pleasure of embracing the beautiful form of radha filled with the joy of rasa.  May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

Na vai yaache rajyam na cha kanak manikhya vibhavam

na yache-aham ramyam sakala jana kamyam varavadhum

sada kale kale pramadha patinaa geetha charitho

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey || 7 ||

( I don't seek for a kingdom, not even the gold, jewels, gems, or such glory. i also don't seek a beautiful lady who is desired by all. (but i seek the one ) whose glory is praised at every movement by lord of pradamas(maheshwara).  May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

Hara twam samsaram druthataram-asaram surapathe

hare twam papanam vitatimaparaam yadavapathe

aho deenenathe nihitha charano nischithamidam

jagarnnatha swami nayana padha gami bhavathu mey . ||8 ||

( O lord, please remove my attachments to the worthless samsara, o the lord of suras please remove my innumerables sins i have commited, o lord of the yadavas. o the one for all the miserable and helpless, the only refuge is your feet. May that jagarnnath swami be my vision wherever my eyes go.

Jagannath ashthakam pumyam yah patheth prayataha suchihi

sarva papa vishuddhatma vishnu lokam sa gacchathi

( For those who recite this jagarnnath ashtakam, which is holy, with great devotin and being pure( physically and mentally). All their sins get removed and their pure soul will attain the adobe of lord vishnu( vishnu loka).
